| In addition to all the functions one would expect from a top of the range 8-in-1 Universal Remote, this controller has a radio transmitter that sends control signals to the X-10 transceiver module. This module can be plugged in anywhere in the home and in turn will transmit the special X-10 signals along your mains wiring to control any X-10 modules that you have connected. In addition, the receiver is itself an appliance module and will switch full mains loads (up to 13 Amp) on and off. Therefore, this makes the ideal starter pack that allows control of a single appliance. Additional appliance modules and lamp modules can then be added at will. Only the one transceiver is required to individually control up to 255 different modules. |
